Phoenix Bakehouse

This week, along with their regular country sourdough ($8), Phoenix Bakehouse will have cinnamon raisin sourdough ($8) on the docket. It's a little bit wheatier and a touch sweet from the Thompson raisins, and makes ridiculously amazing French toast. When she's not dredging it in eggs and frying it in butter, Sarah loves to eat it plain, with butter, with cream cheese, with chèvre and honey, or, her personal favorite, with peanut butter and sliced bananas. It also makes a mean grilled cheese—try it with aged cheddar and thinly sliced or sautéed apple (and maybe a slice of bacon)!

We offer shares ranging from vegetables to beef in addition to a la carte products such as bread, jams and hot sauce.

Farmers benefit by our program by having a direct market to their goods, and community members benefit by getting delicious and healthy food at lower prices than supermarkets in addition to a number of other member benefits.

By joining LIC CSA, you are directly supporting your neighbors and our food systems in the Hudson Valley and New York State.
